I believe that every student will gain the knowledge and skills they need to become successful and happy adults."

Dr. Bartal established the school in 2005 and named it International School | Site for the Best International School in recognition of her husband's extensive business interests in Malaysia. He has supported the institution financially and by providing access to his networks of contacts, which have helped the school grow rapidly.

One of the school's distinctive qualities is its emphasis on encouraging students to adopt a Global Perspective. Dr. Bartal explains, "We try to inculcate in students a sense of cultural understanding and humility, which will help them become active, participating members of society. To achieve this, we encourage students to explore the different cultures and values of the people around them. We want our students to learn to value and appreciate all cultures and not to be prejudiced towards any of them."
